Aussie family dentists to be accredited by Australian Dental Accreditation Scheme
A family dentist in Adelaide has received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy (ACOT) in a bid to help attract more patients.
Southend family dentist, Dr David Janson, said the move had been long anticipated as he was “on a mission” to improve the quality of care in the South Australian city.
“It’s an honour to be a part of this amazing network of dentists and other professionals who work together to improve quality of life in our community,” he said.
“We want to be able to provide more choice, more choice to patients, to the family and to the community, and we want to offer the highest quality of services.”
Dr Janson is a former member of the Australian National Academy of Medical Sciences (ANAMAS) who was awarded the prestigious International Fellowship in Dental Research in 2017.
He said he had already set up his own dental practice and was hoping to start a private practice.
“I’m really excited to be doing this, I’m really looking forward to working with these dentists, working with the community and hopefully I can bring something new to the table,” he told ABC News.
Dr Jansen’s private practice will be located in the heart of the Adelaide CBD and he said it would provide a more intimate setting.
“There will be more space for patients and a much more comfortable setting,” he explained.
Dr David Jansen says he has been working with dentists in the Adelaide area since 2016.
